Angel Has Her Wings

Angel … the name alone conjures up thoughts of an angelic creature, one that is gentle and loving. This is the only way to describe our loving pet, Angel, who came to share our lives such a few short years ago, or so it seems now. The love that we gave to Angel was returned to us tenfold, as could only have been done by a real angel. Her sudden passing left us with a deep sadness of having lost a dearly loved member of our family; however, we must continue to remember the love and devotion that she brought into our lives. This is her story, and of the life she shared with us.

In 2013, when Peter contacted me about his story of Angel, my first reaction was “This would make a great children’s book!” Angel Has Her Wings is Peter’s original story, rewritten for younger children by Noah Nogueira, who at the time was a member of the Junior Humane Club. Illustrations by Lauren Daly were added to enhance the story, and to provide an opportunity for a young aspiring illustrator to see her work in print!
