Animal Adventures on the Farm
When Kayt Bryans was eleven, her parents bought a small apple orchard just outside of town. It was a rundown and neglected property that they spent hours decluttering and landscaping. The apple orchard itself had not been tended to in years. The pruning that was needed required burn piles the size of a gaga ball pit. The work was laborious, but well worth it. The next season the orchard bore fruit.
It was not long before Kayt's parents opened a small market. Using the honour system, customers could pick up their apples at any time of day, leaving their money in a locked tin box.
The market eventually expanded to take over their three-car garage and a bakery was built in the back. Next, they added a petting zoo. The animals were Kayt's favourite part of her upbringing.
These are their stories.
